The Cymryd 05:07
Your people sent us out to die instead of giving us the rope Saying our suffering is how we will atone Believing they’re superior and kept their hands clean They didn’t think we’d survive And turn into beasts Your carelessness is your biggest mistake One we have learned and will not repeat Red stains our hands as you choke on your blood We watch as you die, certain that we’re done We have grown in numbers and consumed by our rage Waiting in the shadows until we found our prey You thought you were safe and that cost you dear We will take all you have Your life will end here Your carelessness is your biggest mistake One we have learned and will not repeat Red stains our hands as you choke on your blood We watch as you die, certain that we’re done Watch as your life comes to an end By the ones your people created The price of your hubris has finally come It is time for our hunger to be sated You thought we were a myth but you see us with your eyes Far away from safety into our clutches to die Soon we will parade you and hold you up high Your kingdom will know to fear us as they see your head on a spike Your carelessness is your biggest mistake One we have learned and will not repeat Red stains our hands as you choke on your blood We watch as you die, certain that we’re done We’ve set our eyes on your new budding kingdom Take your last breath knowing no one will help them You’ve thought yourselves to be without any fault We are the Cymryd, you created us to make you fall Make you fall You took our lives, we will take yours

A horde is charging this way We’re too few to fight back No one will answer our pleas No allies can stop the attack Our impending doom is coming To destroy everything we have built There’s no use reasoning Blood will be spilled There’s no hope but we won’t back down We fight for our lives and for the crown To death we will march Gather up all arms Rejoice this final night Tomorrow we will fight At first light we venture To the field of battle we will go If they want to conquer Then they must work for their goal To the last we will stand Until we no longer draw in breath May our weapons stay in hand And deliver a merciless death There’s no hope but we won’t back down We fight for our lives and for the crown To death we will march Gather up all arms Rejoice this fight Today we die We are one tenth of their force The horns bellow out for war This is the end of our course To their throats we plunge our swords Magical blasts quickly soar Bodies are maimed and scorched The forest is seeped with gore From bodies, heads and limbs are torn There’s no hope but we won’t back down We fight for our lives, in blood they will drown To death we have marched Still we swing our arms We may not win this fight But alone we won’t die Alone we won’t die Alone we won’t die Alone we won’t die Alone we won’t die

It's all going to end They are wearing us down There's no use giving in We can't stand our ground One by one we fall We won't give up now Longer we must stall There may be a way out Run to the woods It’s our only chance We will use these woods To bring the Cymryd to deliverance Protect our king Someone’s made a plan Long live the king The Cymryd will be wiped from the land A few must stay and fight They will be the sacrifice Hold them back The rest can get out Keep them back We must stand our ground Protect the mages Let them say their chants A few more seconds Soon it will all end We will give our lives Our enemies will die this night One by one light leaves their eyes The Cymryd clawing to end their lives The mage chants their final lines Dropping dead, then consumed by blinding light Forbidden magic rips the air apart From within ghastly creatures quickly dart The Cymryd run in terror but don’t get far Screams are cut off as they're torn apart Their attacks won't keep the spirits at bay Twisted haunted creatures beyond decay Nothing is left as the mist clears away All we wanted was to be safe What have we done

Relentless horde of ghastly beasts Nightmares unseen for fifteen years From a time when we thought we wouldn’t see another day Haunted and scarred from our deeds The Myrewood is no longer what it used to be For us to defeat our enemies the innocence of the forest had to pay We have brought this on ourselves To live, we unleashed hell This Resurgence is coming after us And we don’t how it can be undone The elves said it’s useless to attack But we knew from many years back They warned us of our sins From that wretched night many years ago We thought we wouldn’t see this day Hoped after that night, we’d be safe But we traded one enemy for another this one from the unknown We have brought this on ourselves To live, we unleashed hell This Resurgence is coming after us And we don’t how it can be undone From the mists of the Myrewood A pale creature comes walking forth Covered in twisted faces of agony Bringing our destruction beneath its feet Soldiers flee from where they stood Magical fire flies with no recourse Out of its mouth comes a thousand screams And we know we face our reckoning We must pay for what we’ve done This endless cycle must have an end
